A few more songs

Yesterday i was going through albums from latest to older. Found a few good songs too Here are a few to share. I’ve still got quite a few albums to catch up on that i gotta check out. So when i have time, i’ll make sure to post them up for you guys~ Btw, more female singers in this batch of songs^^ I’m just giving my opinion below, please don’t beat me up for being truthful. From now on, it’s time to say moveover to SNSD. All groups have their expiry date. Once everything is known about them, they lose their hype. Now, we are seeing more and more new girl groups being created and more and more people are curious to find out more about them. Older girl groups need more unique music or style to keep up!

애프터 스쿨 (After School) – 2nd Single – 너 때문에 (Neo ddaemune) – Because of You

From the very beginning since their debut, i actually didn’t mind the group. There are just some groups that i don’t like and really like upon first impression. This single, i find, however, to be quite good. I love the title track titled ‘너 때문에’. The music is nice and their style of singing is really catchy. In fact, the single itself is not bad. The MV too was suitable for the song. One complaint though… ALL their noses look fake ahahaha…

I remember coming across Esther’s music somewhere. I can’t seem to remember. Hm… Anyways, this is more of the typical type of ballad style. But… there’s something about it that’s good somehow.

고은 (Goeun) – Digital Single – 눈물따라 (Nunmul ddara)

Just one listen and i was impressed. I really like this song. Beautiful^^ In fact, Goeun is only 23 years old. From this single, she looks old… Goeun has released about 3 singles before this and had collabed with with PK Heman and Namolla Family. The MV… typical plot. And if you’ve watched it before, the guy eating the sandwich… what the hell? ROFL

남보라 (Nam Bora) – Single – Project 나쁜사랑 (Project Nappeun sarang)

02. 나쁜 사랑 (Nappeun sarang) – Bad Love

The full MV, i haven’t seen yet. Not sure if it’s even released. But apparently, it seems that Nam Bora is the actress in it. But… if you compare her looks and voice, you would not believe it. There’s still some mystery around Nam Bora. There’s not much information about her. I couldn’t even find her year of birth. This song is a sad ballad track. I think the single took 1 year and 6 months to prepare. Nice

성태 (Sung Tae) & 도희선 (Do Hee Seon) – Digital Single – Color Glass – 술이 너보다 낫더라 (Suri neoboda natdeora)

Sung Tae is a former MtoM member. So sad~~ MtoM, my favourite group remaining after SG Wanna Be changed members and Monday Kiz of which a member passed away. I really thought MtoM would stay as a trio for some time but this year, Sung Tae left the group and now they replaced him with another member. Oh, how depressingㅜㅜ Ok ok.. back to the review. Do Hee Seon is a former BGH4 member. This single is part of the ‘color’ series. Back in 2008, starting with Shin Hye Sung’s ‘Color Purple’, the series continued with ‘Color Pink’ by SeeYa, Davichi and Black Pearl. In 2009, it progressed with ‘Color Chocolate’ by K.Will and Mario. Now this 4th release is ‘Color Glass’. I think for this single, for you to appreciate it, you would have to listen to it carefully and in a quite place lol. It might not give you the thumbs up on the first listen.

I’ve been a follower of Namolla Family for some time lol. I really like their music. They stick to the same style most of the time with female guest singers and the same familiar beat. BUT…. each and every song is unique in a way. I’m liking this track too!

티아라 (T-Ara) (Vol.1) – Absolute First Album

Truthfully, T-Ara was perhaps one of the first girl group that i approved of from the beginning hahah… They first started off with their ‘거짓말’ (Lies) single which portrayed them as innocent but not overboard. They then moved on to collab with Supernova (really like this group~~) with their 2 singles, Time to Love and Time to Listen. For those two singles, they portrayed a more strong image. Now for this release of their first album, they’re going for the sexy look. Hm… i prefer the first two style better. Honestly, i think this first album is a bit, how do you call…, voice moderated – electronic style… ROFL… i forgot what it’s called hahaha… Well, back on topic, I found the song 처음처럼 catchy. Especially the beginning when it starts. It gets you going on the spot. ‘Falling U’ which really doesn’t make sense in English lol, is a slower track which is quite nice. And oh yeah, member ‘Boram’. Like most people, i don’t think she should belong in the group. She’s so out of place. From my opinion, she’s not the entertainment industry type of person. Her voice is not strong and her personality is not outgoing – thus, that stiff image. She is trying her best i guess… but.. i think it would be ok if she is omitted hahah…

I gotta say, this single is saved by K.Will hehe… K.Will really did a good job here. That’s why i like it^^ In fact, there’s a K.Will concert at Yonsei University this coming December. I really want to go but i won’t be in Korea in December. I’m coming end of Jan to end of Feb. Maybe i can make my friends go and give me an update.. they basically live on campus hahah..

테이 (Tei) & 간미연 (Kan Mi Yeon) – Digital Single – 인사(人事) – 연ㆍ애ㆍ별(緣ㆍ愛ㆍ別) (Insa – Yeon Ae Byeol)

Kan Mi Yeon is a Babyvox member. Her voice is nice Tei on the otherhand, is a solo balad singer. This single, has a happy beat. It’ll just make you happy lol.

채동하 (Chae Dong Ha) (Vol.2) – Essay

For the last update, i forgot to add this song. ~~~~~ really like this! Especially the chorus. He usually doesn’t sing upbeat songs but this one is one of the first few. For those who don’t know, he was a former SG Wanna Be member. SG Wanna Be has never been the same without him

From the drama ‘You’re Beautiful’. Love this song^^ From what i recall, 9th STREET released one single before this. It wasn’t a ballad track and well… wasn’t really my style. But… this track for the OST is great. Ballad~
This drama stars actor (part time singer lol) Jang Geun Suk, actress Park Shin Hye, lead vocalist of F.T Island – Lee Hong Gi, C.N Blue member – Jung Yong Hwa and UEE from the group ‘After School’. Truthfully, i prefer Jung Yong Hwa over Jang Geun Suk for the drama. Damn it, it was clear from the start that he wasn’t going to get the girl ahaha… And oh, Lee Hong Gi… i was surprised. Not only is he a superb singer but his acting was great (well, he did acting before singing lol). His character ‘Jeremy’ was adorable and funny. I did listen to C.N Blue’s Japanese released 1st mini album but it wasn’t quite my style.. As for After School… i don’t pay much attention to them. UEE, it’s obvious she did some changes to her eyes. She’s got that staring expression and her eyes look like they’re gonna pop out any second. Her character… a no no.

Thanks for all the comments^^ Actually I’m on my uni vacation break which lasts until end of Feb. This month has just been so horrible for me. Really depressing.. But, when i listen to music, it makes me feel much better, minus all the sad songs!!! My notebook has been laggy as well, i’m thinking it’s the fanㅡㅡ; Why does Toshiba have to make life so difficult for us? Can’t even open up to have a look. Damn it, everything is breaking down!! Anyways, i’m just dropping to share a few songs i’ve been listening to. It’s not the most recent but recent enough i guess. Most often, i’ve been listening to Chae Dong Ha’s two new songs from his latest second album. The two best songs in his album in my opinion. Just love it And for those who did listen to his album, the intro instrumental tracks, it was emotional knowing that he appreciates and treasures his time with SG Wannabe Also, U-Kiss, I was surprised they came back so strong. In the MV, their clothes were really nice, their dancing was great. the lyrics good as well (“you make me pissed off” ROFL) and the song itself is catchy. Maybe because they collabed with Brave Sound that’s why. Brown Eyed Girls, great song, it’s sad to admit, but that song really relates to meㅠㅠ As for K.Will, i was going through his whole album and i picked out two songs. 다시 사랑하면 안되니 – Oooh.. simply beautiful^^ Ok ok, i better hurry up lol. Update: Where is neko28?

Hello~
It’s me again. Bad news though… i know it’s been quite some time since i’ve updated, so here’s the final decision.
This year has been such a busy year. I simply have no more time to update and so… i have no choice but to give up this website. I know a lot of you guys were seeing it come long before since day by day, there were less updates. Looking back myself, with all the effort i’ve put into creating this site, it’s really a pitty… I’m not quite sure what to do!!!

Lately I’ve been doing a bit of online shopping at www.YesStyle.com.
This is the sister site of YesAsia so i would totally recommend it. I’ve been with these guys for ages and the service is always excellent and safe. So check out YesStyle if you’re interested in Asian fashion from Japan, Korea, China & Taiwain. Of course, being me, i prowl around for Korean items lol. Usually Koreans are very concerned with quality and therefore there products are of better quality. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to say that others aren’t as good. It’s just my preference. So… to show you how awesome YesStyle is, i’ve posted some links to some Korean female clothing items that i quite like myself. Of course, YesStyle also caters for male fashion as well but not as much as female clothing. I’m wondering if my taste in fashion is weird or normal lol. You have a look. Like all pictures, they look good but we are not 100% certain if they look the same in real life. Life is a risk. You take it and you gain something valuable, you don’t take it, you simply miss out on a good opportunity hehehe… but yeah… so far, i’ve been 100% satisfied with YesStyle. 길미 (Gil Me) – First Digital Single – The 1st Purpledream Sound – June 30 2009

I first heard of Gil Me when she was featured in once of Marco’s first album in the title song 미치도록 (Michidorok), which i liked a lot. This is her debut single featuring well known names such as Bobby Kim and Eun Ji Won. It’s tempting People actually call her the second T (Yoon Mi Rae). I reckon she deserves it. She can both sing well and rap well. Way to go~~ Give her a try! Particularly in track 3, you get to hear her singing voice rather than rapping. I think i’m gonna listen to this single on repeat. Hint hint lol.

Okies…. a really really long album. More work for me. Yay~~ not… I remember listening to Drunken Tiger’s old album, can’t remember which but i found it quite strange. 소녀시대 (So Nyeo Shi Dae/Girls’ Generation) – The Second Mini Album – 소원을 말해봐 – Tell Me Your Wish – June 29 2009

To tell you the truth, i used to be really annoyed with this group. Especially with the fact that there were so many members. But… I guess… having lived in Korea, you just gotta get used to it. Their music is everywhere, it’s hard to avoid. I can recognize most of the members, but some, i still don’t get their purpose in the group O_0 Anyways, this mini album, typical girlish pop. Track 1 and 2 are not bad i suppose. Track 6, i like Onew’s voice but that’s it lol. There’s something strange about Jessica’s voice… The middle tracks, i can’t listen to, sorry guys. Just too girly for me to handle. I mean, you can persuade me if you put it in a music video but listening to it alone, who knows what might happen to me rofl.
